The SURVIVAL Art Review is an artistic venture implemented in Wrocław’s public space. Within the framework of SURVIVAL, visual works are presented – in particular installations (including sound and video installations) and performances.
The works of art presented during the Review are selected according to two principles adopted by the Organizers; by open competition and by invitation from the curator. After selection/invitation of the project the concept of its presentation is developed with artist’s and curator’s approval. In justified cases the Organizers may present the selected projects only in the form of applications, sketches and documentation.
The 10th SURVIVAL Art Review will take place from 22 June to 1 July 2012 on the grounds of the sports centre located at ul. Na Niskich Łąkach 8 in Wrocław (so-called „Oławka” stadium). The central theme of the 10th SURVIVAL Art Review to be developed by the artists is “UP TO YOU / WSZYSTKO ZALEŻY OD CIEBIE” – it reflects the nature of the Review’s location, referring to widely understood activity and sports competition, as well as to the need to test one’s own capabilities and skills.
